- Intensity
- Gentle
- Components
- 3
- Prescription
- Not required
A simple, well-tolerated herbal stack. Cat's claw and Japanese knotweed are titrated up over a month, joined by liposomal oregano/cinnamon/clove oil. Japanese knotweed also has a long traditional use for Bartonella.
The regimen
Duration: Work up over ~30 days, then continue until well
Key points
- Cat's claw: 5 drops 2×/day, +1 drop per dose daily to 30 drops 2×/day
- Japanese knotweed: ¼ tsp 3×/day for two weeks, then ½ tsp 3×/day
- Every component has Johns Hopkins lab data against growing and persister Borrelia
The evidence
Johns Hopkins researchers (Feng, Zhang and colleagues) found that Japanese knotweed and cat's claw were active against dormant, stationary-phase Borrelia, and that oregano, cinnamon bark and clove bud oils completely eradicated dormant cultures in the lab. See the Research section for the papers.
Lab results don't guarantee results in people, but this is one of the better-supported herbal combinations available.
