Ross Herbal Combination 1: Banderol + Samento + Cryptolepis
All-herbal regimen Dr. Ross finds as effective as oral antibiotics
- Targets
- Lyme, Babesia
- Intensity
- Moderate
- Components
- 3
- Prescription
- Not required
Otoba bark (Banderol) and cat's claw (Samento) tinctures, slowly built up drop by drop, plus Cryptolepis. Dr. Ross reports this helps about 85–90% of patients when combined with his support protocol, and it also supports biofilm removal.
The regimen
Duration: Continuous (herbs are not pulsed); often a year or more
Key points
- Build up slowly: start at 5 drops, add 1 drop per dose daily up to 30 drops
- If you feel worse, hold the dose until the herx passes, then continue
- Take away from food: not from 30 minutes before a meal until 2 hours after
- Cryptolepis and cat's claw both act on persister Lyme; Cryptolepis also covers Babesia
How to take it
Take Banderol and Samento in a little water on an empty stomach. They can be taken at the same time as medicines and other supplements, just not with food.
Herbal antibiotics generally work best when taken continuously rather than pulsed, and Lyme does not readily become resistant to them, so Dr. Ross often keeps the same herbs for a year or longer.
Like every regimen, success depends on also addressing sleep, gut, detox and immune support.
Not medical advice. This protocol is summarized from Dr. Marty Ross, MD — A Lyme Disease Antibiotic Guide for educational purposes. Doses are for adults; children need different dosing. Discuss any treatment with a qualified, Lyme-literate clinician, who can monitor labs and adjust for your health and medications.
